My Top 10 AI Hacks for Visual Content (May 2026)

by Lisa Peyton and her team of AI super Heroes

I LOVE creating visual content. For me, the combination of creativity, strategy, and technology offers an enticing challenge that pays off in an actual thing (sometimes a thing of beauty) you can see and hold. Perhaps that’s what I love most about content marketing: creating meaningful content for an audience that leans into creativity in order to delight, entertain, and educate.

While my creativity has slowly evolved over the decades that I’ve been doing this, technology has done anything but ‘slowly evolve’. I kicked off my digital marketing career building websites. I learned how to code – HTML, CSS, and PHP. That code was the language that brought my designs to life and let my creative side shine in the work. As websites became more mainstream, their building blocks evolved from simple static pages to complex, dynamic Flash-based interfaces (anyone remember Flash??). Flash was a new way to build a site; it required learning new code and new skills, and was a HUGE time commitment for a new web designer like me. However, because my clients demanded it, I put in the hours, bought the software tools, and hunkered down to start creating Flash-based websites. These websites were beautiful, for the most part, and offered up a much more immersive experience than a boring, static web page. However, less than a year or so into the Flash boom, it was discovered that search engines had major issues crawling Flash-based websites. And the trend quietly disappeared.

In some ways, the AI disruptions we are experiencing remind me of that short-lived Flash moment. But instead of months to a year of runway for a trend, it’s just weeks or even days. AI has exponentially increased the speed at which the tools can be created, updated, implemented, and launched. AI has exponentially increased the speed at which we all work. AI has exponentially increased the speed at which we all search the web, consume content, and more. We no longer have months or years to learn a skill, and the tried and true methods of learning – courses, certifications, degrees, etc. – become stale the day they roll off the shelf. But I digress…

While AI has sped things up, it has also FREED me up to produce some of my best work. AI has enabled me to produce visual content that I NEVER would have had the skill to produce on my own. While I learned graphic design while delivering a website for a client, I never truly mastered it. I may have had the creative vision to build something mind-blowing, but my lack of technological prowess prevented that vision from coming to life. AI solves for that.

This list shows the ways I use AI TODAY to create outstanding visual content. Lists like these are quickly becoming the more reliable sources for AI tips and trends, as they change minute by minute. My hope is that one or two of these tools will help you bring your creative vision to life. Enjoy!

AI-branded product shots, changing backgrounds while staying on brand Upload your product photo and AI swaps the background into whatever you need (beach, studio, holiday set) while keeping the product itself untouched. Brand colors hold, lighting matches, shadows behave. This is how small teams shoot a full seasonal campaign in an afternoon instead of booking a studio. There are many platforms that have this capability, including Krea.ai, and OpenArt model training. Learning Resource: Training | Krea Documentation
